I don't even own Guitar Hero III (I own II), but owning the game to be able to play "The Pretender" is enticing to me. I love that song and playing it on the all new wireless fisher price guitar would be good times. However, the game is 90 bucks (wut) or 60 without the guitar and the DLC is 500 points or $6.50.
Not a big deal really except for the fact that I wouldn't play the other two songs at all. I'd be spending 500 points just for The Pretender and I just can't justify that cost. Why can't they just license out a band's library and allow the users to pick and choose songs they want? I'd grab Hero, Everlong, and The Pretender and pay the already absurd price for those three songs. I can't, however, do it for one song and 2 mediocre ones I don't care about.
Music is EXTREMELY subjective so I'll stay away from too many opinions regarding that, but the price for gaming is ridiculous. Rock Band will not be in my house any time soon at 170 bucks a box. I love gaming, I even posted the lengths I go to to play games quickly, but like fine wine, I can't stock a cellar of the finest and rarest. I might have one cherished expensive bottle, but I can't justify owning a second. Sorry music games, you're fun, but I'm going to have to block you.
