So, it is done. Good solid game. It definitely has its faults; there's moments of slowdown, its graphics are great at times and other times it doesn't seem to have the same sheen as Kameo, and the camera can be a little troublesome in spots, but these are such small issues that they never really bothered me.
The gameplay is phenomenal. The platforming isn't cheap at all and the leveling of your weapons and your character as you play is properly tuned to where you never feel overpowered or underpowered at any time. Buying weapons and upgrades is really easy and the game is littered with secrets and little hidden areas. There's a TON to do here, enough so that you can literally call this a kitchen sink game meaning there's a lot of genres represented here and all of them fit in really well.
Plus, blowing the shit out of enemies feels really great. Really great. As an example, when you get the rocket launcher, it starts off as a really powerful weapon that just launches rockets into people's faces. As you level it up, it becomes more and more powerful and eventually, on contact, spews out napalm and kills surrounding smaller enemies or damages bigger ones. Beyond that, not only does it unleash a bunch of napalm on impact, it now launches 3 rockets that spews gobs of napalm on contact - each with the same destructive force as the first. It's beautiful. These little twists truly make the game a ton of fun.
If i had to give this puppy a score, it would probably be an 8.5 or a 9. Good stuff.
